St. Louis Trip

At the end of March we went to St. Louis with my parents to visit my brother. 

We went to my parents Thursday night and then left for St. Louis first thing Friday morning.

We arrived by lunch and meet my brother at Pappy's BBQ-

probably THE BEST BBQ I've EVER had - AMAZING!

Notice the pink smoke lines, oh this makes me want to get in the car and 

drive down there for some right now!

Missouri Botanical Garden

Alice and Anna both really enjoyed swimming at the hotel. This was Anna's first time swimming. 

Alice was willing to put her head back onto my shoulder, allowing the back of her head to get wet

St. Louis Zoo

Thank you Uncle Matt for having us come visit and taking us to the zoo!

Lemars. Monkeys are one of Alice's favorite animals right now.

Anna enjoyed riding in the stroller most of the time. 

We concluded our zoo visit with the penguins. Time to get some lunch!

The girls played at the park while the guys waited in line and got us lunch. 

For supper Saturday night we had Dewey's Pizza. Another AMAZING food experience! 

(If you haven't realized, eating delicious food is a big part of our vacations.)

We got to watch them make the pizza, a great way to pass the time with the girls while we waited. 

Wild Mushroom Pizza with olive oil / garlic 'sauce', 4 kinds of mushrooms, roasted red peppers, 

and cappers, and cheese - Delicious! We'll be trying this at home!

We took a hike at one of my brother's favorite parks. 

Beautiful views! Who'd know that we were in St. Louis?

On Sunday we went to church with my brother and then headed back to Davenport, 

had supper with my parents and then finished our trip home.
